David McDougald, Olmsted Falls. 30-year Cleveland veteran and jam-scene anchor who coined folkedelicfunkpop — a genre-bending hybrid of folk, reggae, jazz, funk, and rock. Plays all instruments himself (Prince influence). ~200 shows/year. Led Waterband for a decade+, Big Ship with Carlos Jones, The Answer Generation with Neil Zaza. Shared stages with George Clinton, Trey Anastasio, and Richie Havens. Cleveland Scene: few Cleveland musicians with a happier, sunnier aura. Co-hosted Wednesday Night Jams at Backstage Bar.
